Make it Today- Sugar Cookies!!

Okay, so, Everyone loves Cookies Right!! :) Well i will be sharing two recipes today! I made these cookies early this morning and they are Delicious if I do say so myself ;) Let's start out with the sugar cookie recipe.....NOW :) 

                      Sugar Cookie Recipe 

1/2 cup of shortening             1/2 Tsp. Soda 

1/2 cup butter    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

1/2 cup Sugar     1 tsp. vanilla 

2 1/4 cup flour    1 egg

1/2 cup powdered sugar   1/2 tsp. salt 

Cream together butter, sugars, vanilla & shortening until smooth. Add slightly beaten egg and blend. Add flour, salt and cream of tartar. Cut out shapes of the dough or just plop 'em on the cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. 

Sugar Cookie Icing Recipe

1 cup of  powdered sugar

2 tsp. Milk

2 tsp. Light Corn Syrup 

1/4 tsp. Almond Extract [ Substitution if needed, Vanilla Extract, just double the 1/4 tsp.]

Food Coloring

Then Just mix with a Spoon after you add everything. Add more milk if it's not forming to icing form, and Add more corn syrup to get to the consistency you want.
